I have been doing some experimenting with buying traffic and directing it to an affiliate product.I have been asked why I chat about affiliate marketing so much on blogs if the theme of the sites are based around work from home.Simple.I still believe one of the best ways to promote your own products is via the net.
If you dont have your own product, then promote anything you like as an affiliate.
Rather than organic/natural search results i thought i would have some “fun” by fighting it out in a hard niche, “ring tones”.
I was buying the traffic at 7search and sending them to a US based ringtone offer which paid about $11.50.
I was paying between 2cents and 20cents per click..scary stuff but beats the hell out of ad words in many respects.
End result..I broke even.. 
No bullshit “I made $3,000.00 in 48 hour” stories here..
