Quite often in my “travels” I meet people who are selling products or services and they mention they have a web site.So naturally I ask to have a look.And when I ask a few questions I realise they dont have a clue about seo..and they have found someone to help them with their site..so I start to suggest that if they did this and that..just standard stuff..they could rank quite well in the Australian search at least..
But…often they will tell me their “expert” is fixing everything by..drum roll on this please…by redesigning the site.
WTF…
Like that will help.??..and they are paying big bucks to redesing a site…that NO ONE FINDS..
And that makes sense…LOL

A little “trick” that sometimes works regarding Google geolocation searches.Sometimes you might have noticed when you do a specific city+business google search you will see a search page results with a google map with little arrows on it.
The “trick” is to convince google you are in that location.You resubmit with a location specific phone number…how you get that is up to your own imagination..and you basically fake an address in the submission.
Its been around for a while now…and be warned..sometimes the effect is to “move” your site around in the rankings..so use a quick throw away pointing to the same service as your main site normally does.
